Please don't infect others with your bad day!

We have all had are bad days, but do we ever stop to think about how are bad day may effect others around us. Everyone has their bad days, but it isn't necessary to spread it like a cancer to others in your life. In my line of work and life I come across bitter people on a daily basis. They are angry, sad, confused, and they want some one to feel their pain, demand respect they don't get, or have the mentality of "if I'm not happy no one is gonna be happy."

I have a few ways that I have come to deal with such individuals. If you are at work or not, compromise with in reason, help them out, but do not let them walk all over you. Stand your ground, but remain calm and polite. You don’t need to become infected by their negative attitude. The second way is a very difficult one and it takes the strongest of people to handle it. It may seem a little far fetched but let them go off on you. Remember sometimes people just need to vent. In my line of work it comes with the job. After the customer leave I smile and think to myself I am getting paid for this. My day will go on, and then I have to make a choice. I can let their negative attitude get to me ruin my day, and run the risk of infecting all those around me. The other choice one can make is to become aware of one's feelings. We all have the right to be sad, angry, confused, bitter, but we can make the choice whither or not to share are feelings in positive way with out becoming unglued and making life miserable for everyone around you, don't be selfish.

Those of us that are having a good day share the wealth. Ask People how their day is going; it goes a long way showing someone you care. If you make eye contact with a person smile at them nine times out of ten they will smile back. If you know someone going though a rough spell ask hope you can help. Let people know your there for them. Do not be rude to people, forgetting you manners may cause other people. On that note, always say please when making a request, we were not place on this earth to serve you. Would you like it if someone made demands of you instead of making requests? Also when someone dose fulfill a request for you, please remember to say thanks. This way what they did for you isn't a thankless job, and you made their day just a little bit better. Being aware of how we treat one another for the betterment of us as a people will help make the world a better place. Please use these random acts of kindness with the people around you, and say thank you to the people that help you whither they get paid for it or not. Thank you.
